July 12 and 26
Colour de Verre Light Fixture
This class actually will require almost two full Saturdays; however, we will try to accommodate those of you who can not be here both Saturdays for all day.
On July 12, we will learn to fill the molds for our components. You will need to fill three to four molds to get the number of pieces you will need for July 26th. If you come by sometime before the 11th, you will be sure to be able to pick out your favorite component molds to use. If you are unable to do this, we can help you choose over the phone. The bottom line is I need to pick up your molds on Friday, the 11th by noon.
On Saturday, July 12th I will demo methods to fill your molds at 10am and again at 1pm. So you could be here for either one. If you can not stay all day, you may schedule a week day to fill your molds. The molds must all be filled by July 19th so they can be fired and ready for the second Saturday class on July 26th.
Part II: Colour de Verre Light Fixtures
Saturday, July 26th, we will arrange our components on the background glasses and fill in the background with a mixture of frits. This may take some students a couple of hours and others all day. So you need to plan appropriately. I will demo the method at 10am. Then you can stay as long as you need.
I will fuse and slump these during the following week.
Space is limited to 6 students. So plan to sign up early.
All materials will be provided. You may purchase the fixture hardware or make your own.

July 19
Millefiori Vases
Cindy taught the millefiori jewelry class last month. Many of you saw the vases she made with millefiori on effetre (moretti) sheet glass and asked to make one. So we will. We will fuse and slump your pieces during the following week.

August 2
Ceiling Light with frits and powders
In this class, we will learn to mix frits and glass dams to create a beautiful 11”x11” light fixture that can fit inexpensive ceiling fixtures from your hardware store. Depending on the fixture you find, you will drill either one or four holes when your piece comes out of the kiln.
Limited to eight people so hurry and sign up. All materials will be supplied.
